An Alias is a reference on the server to which e-mail can be sent that redirects the e-mail to an
account or e-mail address you specify. The instructions below cover creating an alias
on your IMail email server.
INSTRUCTIONS:

| Step 1: |
Open your Web browser and type in:
http://mail.yourdomain.com
This will take you to the entrance of the Web interface for your email manager.

Click the Logon link.
Type in your mail admin name for the username.
Type in your mail admin password for the password.

Using the pulldown menu Account Options click Alias
Administration under the Admin Options section.

Then click Add User.

Complete the fields accordingly.
- Alias ID:
This is the actual alias name, and is the address to which the sender will
direct mail. For example, if you wanted to receive mail sent to
sales@yourdomain.com you would type sales in the field.
- Alias Type:
Standard
- Group Filename:
Leave "Blank".
- Destination:
This is the e-mail address or user account to which any e-mail will be
routed. If the alias represents an existing user on the same domain, simply
type in their UserID. If the alias represents an e-mail address on a different
domain, simply type the full e-mail address into the field.

Now click Save.
